How To Whiten Your Teeth Using biteglow
Get Ready to Glow - BiteGlow is as easy as 1. 2. 3.
Practice placing the tray over your teeth. With your tongue against the roof of your mouth, suck the air away from the tray until it begins to feel tighter. This will shape the tray to the teeth. When you are comfortable continue with the next step.
1. Form The Trays
Boil some water and place it in a coffee cup. Hold the tray by the tab and submerge the U shape into the water for 5 seconds until it slightly warps. Lift the tray vertically from the cup carefully and immediately place the tray in your mouth. Form a suction around the tray and push firmly with your fingers around the front surface of the teeth to mould the trays to the shape of your teeth and wait a minute until the trays cool. Repeat this for the opposite jaw and remove the tab handles with scissors.
2. Get Glowing
Brush and floss your teeth. Check your shade with the shade guide and record this number to measure your gains. Place a small line of gel in the front portion of the tray for it to cover your front 6-8 teeth (.5cc or less per tray). The gel might irritate the gums if the trays are overloaded so insert the trays very carefully keeping the gel on the teeth and away from the gums. The ideal time to carry out the whitening to get maximum results is 1 hour. Beyond this time there is little benefit. For your first attempt aim for 30mins at least. Your first few tries it is normal to produce a lot of saliva as the trays are a foreign material and taste in your mouth (your body thinks you're going to eat it!). The whitening gel (and your saliva) is non-toxic, so swallowing a little wont hurt. Large quantities may make you feel nauseous so you may wish to spit. Keep the trays in your mouth and spit the excess saliva out into the sink or tissue.
3. Rinse and Repeat
Rinse your mouth with warm water. Apply a small pea-sized amount of the supplied toothpaste directly to the front teeth you whitened and spit out any excess (do not rinse out). Clean the trays with cool water, dry them and store them in the case provided. You can whiten your teeth once a day. If you develop sensitivity, transition to whitening your teeth every 2-3 days until your desired results are achieved. You should see results within 1-2 weeks.
TIPS: if you get excess on your gums. Don't stress, start by wiping this away. If your gums get irritated, use the Vitamin E cue tips provided to apply to your gums. To use the cue tip, hold the the red banded end upwards vertically. Snap the tip at the red line and the oil will drain into the cotton tip that is pointed down. This stick can be reused if stored safely.
If you develop sensitivity, use a sensitive toothpaste morning and night and this will subside.
